Caches and pre-loads links for more efficient retrieval. I just installed it myself with a cable modem that downloads at 3 Megabits per second. I will let you know if it actually works or not. It basically does what a proxy server does for a network. I believe it will hider my cable modems performance, but I know it would increase dial up system performance. I will write up a report on my findings after a week of use.
